How We Produce Amphoras:

.- The piece is submerged at the bottom of the sea, where it is surrounded by fauna and flora – shells, plankton and other elements that the refrigeration system of the Carboneras power station generates. A piping system on the seabed enables the recirculation of all these elements around the pieces, for a specific period of time, which varies depending on the product category.
.- The seabed is maintained and the products are transported manually (by divers) to different areas with different ecosystems to enhance them.
.- The pieces are extracted one by one.
.- The pieces are placed and dried in the open air, in order to fossilise the sea life that is adhered to the ceramic.
.- Quality control. The numbered certifications, plaques which show the origin, and scrolls with the historical information on the model are placed.
.- The pieces are packed in expanded polyethylene, specific for this kind of product – it mummifies the pieces and protects them during transport.
.- The product is shipped and distributed.
